On the 16th July, with the incredible support of all my family and friends, I will be setting out to conquer my most challenging event to date - the Female World Record from John O'Groats to Lands End (JOGLE) 840 miles. The current record is 12 days 16hours and 23 minutes and in order for me to break this I need to run approximately 3 marathons a day for 12 days. I will be raising money for a charity called Beat - Beat eating disorders as I suffered for 15 years with anorexia but was lucky enough to make a full and healthy recovery, many people unfortunately aren't as lucky. www.b-eat.co.uk/home you can donate to this charity by visiting the link on my site menu or diverting your mouse to the wee big box below. PLEASE GIVE BIG AND PINK !
I would like to say a huge thank you to my sponsors: Cazenove Capital Management Limited, www.cazenovecapital.com Intermediate Capital Group Plc, www.icgplc.com The Inkerman Group, www.inkerman.com Risebridge Health & Sports Club, www.risebridge.co.uk Microvet, www.microvet.co.uk Cavendish Mortgage Brokers, www.cavendishmortgage.com |

Just a brief thank you to everyone who
sent me emails during the Atacama Crossing - they really cheered me
up and kept me going.
The Atacama Crossing is probably the most difficult STAGED race I
have ever done, not only is it at 12,000 feet of altitude (I'm an
asthmatic so an extra challenge) but we also had sand dunes, salt
flats, running on endless stones and sand. The scenery was magestic
and the other competitors were MARVELLOUS.On the second day I lost
my voice and had to start a course of antibiotics as I was caughing
up lots of nasty stuff and finding it very difficult to breath
while running - with all of that I was thrilled to recieve the
Yellow T shirt everyday as the first female (although I think it
should hve been PINK!) and came away with 20th overall (73
competitors) and 1st female. Feeling not 100 percent it was a
MARVELLOUS result.
Well done to everyone who took part in the MdS and a MARVELLOUS
well done to Ian Sharman who came 13th overall - he really is an
incredible runner - well done Ian.
I would like to say Good luck to Nicole and Ryan Brown this weekend
- they are running the Rotterdam Marathon for their qualifying time
for Comrades in South Africa in June - GO GUYS X

You have just rung me twice on the train.
I tried to ignore it at first as the phone was in my bag on the
rack above everyones head and the train is packed. For as long as I
could I pretended it was nothing to do with me and I was looking
disapproving like everyone else.
In the end I could stand it no more and had to disturb everyone
while I tried to pull my bag off the rack. After several tugs of
the bag is was dislodged with rather more impetus that I had
intended, at the same time it managed to open itself and discourge
its contents over all the passengers. Had the contents been merely
a few sheafs of paper as usual, this would have been fairly easy to
rectify and a few words of apology would have seen the whole
incident fogotten, but NO, an entire box of my calling cards
exploded over the carrieage and dropped like confetti over
everyone. so now they all know my name as well.
PLEASE DO NOT CALL ME WHEN I'M ON THE TRAIN!!!

October 2006 – The irrepressible Mimi Anderson, a personal trainer from the UK, literally obliterated any competition amongst the ladies and certainly held her own in the overall field. Finishing in an overall sixth position, she never lost her sense of humour despite wandering off the marked course at least twice during the duration of the event. She was often seen running with some of the leading men and never let them feel as if she was holding them back. She finished in an inspiring 31 hours 46 minutes.
